Jesus's message is to love without end, and He is a living testament to the Truth that love is the healing force of the universe. So many of us are great at channeling the love of the Divine toward others, but often leave ourselves, particularly our bodies, behind. Through this Sacred Body Balance work, students remember and practice the Truth, that love is the way, the truth and the light to maintaining life-long health.
I only came to realize the beautiful Divinity of my body through a long and tumultuous struggle against its wisdom. After having spent over half of my life obsessed with my diet and my weight, I always found myself back in the same frustrating place that I started no matter how I maneuvered and abused my physical body. I finally threw my hands up in the air and surrendered: I decided to live with the body I had been given and to love the person that God sent me here to be. To my complete and utter shock, my weight began to come into balance with ease. I began to understand that really loving myself meant honoring my Divine body by listening to her hunger cues, feeding her foods from the Earth, and moving her regularly. I also saw that enjoying delicious glass of red wine or an occasional piece of chocolate cake could never be "sinful" if done with the proper intentions. Through this beautiful journey, I have learned that embodying a sparkly, free Spirit is the first step in living in a sparkly, healthy body around this planet.
Science is now supporting this work, recognizing the power of the "rest and digest" system within the body that gets turned on when stress is low and the body feels heard and respected. By activating the miraculous power of love toward ourselves, we are able to calm the adrenals, reduce unrealistic and self-imposed stressors, and bring our bodies into a healthy, vibrant state.
I am so blessed to be able to share these lessons with women who are sick of dieting and self-hatred but want to feel good in their bodies during their time here on Earth. These yoga circles of women work to get at the root of any imbalances so that lasting change ensues. Sessions include a supportive environment of sisterhood, a prayerful yoga practice, a powerful guided meditation, and time to journal as a means of creating your new self (all enhanced by essential oils :)). Through this monthly supportive sisterhood we will learn, together, radical self-respect as a means to bring our bodies to a healthy and balanced weight. Together we work to reclaim our bodies as sacred temples for our spirits as opposed to objects that define our worth. Whether you want to maintain a healthy weight, gain or lose five pounds or fifty, these circles will help empower you to step into your fullness as the impetus of health in the physical realm.
