9a Balance Class:
In balance class, you'll build strength through static poses designed to support a healthy spine and breath function. This class is alignment focused and intelligently sequenced to ensure students progress safely and at their own pace. Balance work in standing postures, optional inversions, and breath included. room is a comfortable 72 degrees. This is a strong, trauma-informed class that focuses on yoga philosophy and approaches asana (postures) and breath-work as a therapeutic practice.
11a Beginner Class:
This gentle and fundamental flow teaches how to connect breath with movement, covering the basics of sun salutations, and foundational postures in a vinyasa style of yoga. The class builds with breath-work, a mindful warm up that explores all directions of movement in the spine, standing balance and leg work, then winds down into longer holding postures seated or lying down, finally resting on the floor in savasana. room is a comfortable 72 degrees. This is an accessible, trauma-informed yoga class designed for all levels and body types (including those with injuries) to learn how to feel safe and comfortable in their bodies and in this world.
