I personally found yoga therapy in my own dark night of the soul, drowning in a sea of unconscious survival behaviors that were keeping me stuck.
Frantic self-soothing with sugar, over-working, inconsistent exercise, a marriage that felt cold and disconnected, unpredictable outbursts at my children: all ways my stressed out body/mind was attempting to protect me but was causing great chaos in my personal and professional life. When I learned about the science of trauma and what chronic stress does to the brain and body, I felt instant relief. My mental state moved from the painful stories of blame and shame and into a state of compassion for myself and all others who were experiencing continued dysregulation due to a state of chronic stress. Through the companionship of my teachers, the embodied practices of yoga therapy, the wisdom teachings, and the application of modern brain science, I watched myself slowly recover from massive pain and self-destructive behaviors and find my way back into the light of my own authentic connection to myself and to the Divine. Where ever you are on your healing journey, this container is designed to meet you where you are, help you better understand your brain and body, and offer you tools that will actively support you in making real changes in your life from the inside out. |

This container will not take away the everyday stressors in your life, but will train your brain and body to better deal with life's unexpected twists and turns through building stress resilience, self-compassion, and creating an internal state of embodied support from within. During our time months together, you'll learn how to better understand, care for and tend to your body as a temple of your soul with the ancient philosophies of yoga, the energetic practices of tantra, and the embodied tools of Ayurveda. Over time, you'll grow in self-understanding, care for yourself and compassion for those around you. |
